The Square, Nad Al Sheba
Resin-bound aggregate through The Square in Nad Al Sheba — the seamless, permeable ground plane tying together a community plaza of kiosks, cafés and a natural swimming pond.
At The Square in Nad Al Sheba, RBS laid the ground plane of the community destination in resin-bound natural aggregate — the plaza that threads between the food kiosks and cafés and wraps the edge of the development’s natural swimming pond. Laid seamless and flush, in a warm aggregate blend, the surface gives the whole social space one calm, continuous base instead of the visual noise of jointed paving.
For a landscape built around water and daily footfall, the material does quiet, useful work. It is fully permeable, draining without gutters or standing puddles at the poolside; it holds its grip and its natural colour under constant use; and it wears evenly with none of the loose stone, weed lines or lifting that age conventional paving — a low-maintenance surface that keeps a leisure destination looking considered.
