Starting prices
Driveways use a heavier, vehicle-rated build-up on a properly prepared base — a different job from a garden path. Real starting price, supply and install; every exact quote follows a site visit.
All rates are AED per square metre, supply and installation. Driveways carry the vehicle-rated rate from AED 300/m² because of the thicker build-up and base preparation cars demand. Larger areas price lower per square metre.
A driveway with nothing to crack
Most driveway problems live in the joints: block paving that shifts and weeds, flagstones that lift after a hot summer, concrete that cracks and stains. A resin bound driveway has no joints at all. Natural stone is mixed with clear resin and trowelled into one seamless, permeable surface — so there’s nothing to open up, nothing to weed, and nothing for water to pool on.
Laid as a driveway, it’s built to carry the car: a thicker, vehicle-rated build-up on a properly prepared base. That’s the difference between a driveway and a garden path, and the reason the two carry different rates.
Made in-house, built for the sun
Resin bound is the surface RBS was founded on, and we still produce our resin in-house. For a driveway that sits in the sun all day, we use a UV-stable aliphatic resin chosen to hold its colour rather than amber — and we prepare the base properly, because with resin bound the ground beneath decides everything. For the full range of resin bound uses, see resin bound in Dubai; for the material itself, how resin bound works.
Why RBS for your resin driveway
Built to carry the car
A driveway isn't a path with cars parked on it. We lay a thicker, vehicle-rated build-up on a properly prepared base, so the surface takes the weight and stays sound.
No joints, no cracks, no weeds
Because it's one seamless surface, there are no slab joints to open up, nothing to lift after a hot summer, and no gaps for weeds. A driveway that stays as clean as the day it was laid.
Drains itself
The permeable surface lets rain soak straight through, so you don't get the puddles and run-off that flagstones and concrete create. SuDS-friendly by nature.
Holds colour in the sun
We produce our resin in-house and use a UV-stable aliphatic grade, chosen so a Dubai driveway keeps its colour instead of yellowing under the sun.
The things people worry about
Will a resin driveway crack under the car?
Not when it's built as a driveway. The failure people picture comes from a thin coat on a poor base — so we prepare the substrate properly and lay the vehicle-rated build-up. The surface itself is seamless, with no joints to crack in the first place.
Can it really take vehicle weight?
Yes. Driveways are laid thicker and on a suitably prepared and load-bearing base, which is exactly why they price from AED 300/m² rather than the lighter foot-traffic rate. Built to spec, resin bound handles daily car use comfortably.
What about oil drips and tyre marks?
The sealed, resin-locked surface wipes and washes clean, and an occasional rinse keeps it draining freely. It copes with normal driveway life far better than open gravel, which scatters, or block paving, which stains in the joints.
Does it get too hot or fade in the sun?
We use a UV-stable aliphatic resin so the colour holds under Gulf sun rather than ambering. Lighter aggregate blends also reflect more heat than dark asphalt — worth considering for a sun-facing driveway.

Frequently asked
How much does a resin bound driveway cost in Dubai?
Resin bound driveways in Dubai start from AED 300/m², supply and install — the vehicle-rated rate, which reflects the thicker build-up and base preparation a car driveway needs. Lighter paths and courtyards start from AED 150/m². Larger areas price lower per square metre; exact quotes follow a site visit.
Why does a driveway cost more than a path?
A driveway carries vehicle weight, so it's laid thicker and on a properly prepared, load-bearing base. That heavier build-up is the reason driveways price from AED 300/m² while foot-traffic paths start from AED 150/m².
Is a resin bound driveway permeable?
Yes. Rain drains straight through the surface rather than pooling or running off, which makes it SuDS-friendly and keeps the driveway free of puddles.
Can you lay it over my existing concrete driveway?
Often yes — over sound, properly prepared concrete or asphalt. The base has to be right to carry vehicles, so it's assessed on a site visit; where the existing surface isn't suitable we'll tell you rather than lay over a problem.
How long does a resin driveway take, and when can I drive on it?
Most driveways are laid in a day or two depending on size, then need to cure before use. We'll give you the exact cure window for your job — the surface should be left to set fully before the car goes back on.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — a one-year workmanship warranty on top of material guarantees, with the driveway built on a vehicle-rated build-up designed for the long term.
