Epoxy flooring in Abu Dhabi: same system, same pricing
Epoxy flooring is a poured resin surface that cures to one seamless, jointless plane — no grout lines, no seams, just a continuous floor sealed hard against daily life. A metallic pour floats pigments into shifting clouds of light; a solid colour gives a clean, uninterrupted modern surface; flake broadcasts coloured chips for texture, grip and toughness where a floor takes a beating. RBS is based in Dubai, but Abu Dhabi is home ground too: we lay epoxy floors across Al Reem, Yas and Saadiyat islands, Khalifa City and Al Ain, with the same materials and the same pricing as Dubai — so if you searched for epoxy flooring near me anywhere in the emirate, the site visit comes to you. Whether you searched for an epoxy floor, epoxy floor coating or resin flooring, it is the same seamless floor, and RBS is responsible for every job, start to finish. On price: epoxy flooring in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE is priced per project after a site visit, with no published per-m² rate — our epoxy flooring price guide for the UAE explains what moves the figure, finish by finish.
Where epoxy goes in an Abu Dhabi villa or business
Almost anywhere indoors, and in a few places it should not. Living rooms, entrance halls and showrooms take a metallic or solid-colour pour. Garages, utility rooms and workshops take flake for grip and forgiveness — our garage floor coating page covers hot tyres and cure times in detail. Kitchens and bathrooms can take epoxy with a grip texture, though a matte mineral surface such as microcement is often the calmer choice in a wet room. And a terrace, pool surround or driveway in the capital’s sun is not an epoxy job at all: epoxy ambers under UV, so we would lay a UV-stable outdoor surface there instead. To understand the material itself, see how poured epoxy works; for a statement floor, start with metallic epoxy in Abu Dhabi.
How we lay an epoxy floor in Abu Dhabi, step by step
The same system on every floor in the capital, whichever finish you choose:
- Slab check and moisture test. The base is inspected on the site visit — soundness, cracks, old coatings and damp. A wet or failing slab is the commonest reason resin floors fail, so this decides whether epoxy is right before anything is quoted.
- Diamond grinding. The surface is ground back to clean, open concrete so the primer can grip. This is the step a cheap floor-paint job leaves out.
- Crack repair and primer. Cracks and broken edges are repaired — with epoxy mortar where a slab needs rebuilding — and the whole floor is primed.
- Body coat. The finish itself: a self-levelling poured coat for solid colour, a metallic pour for the showpiece look, or a broadcast of flakes or quartz for grip and hard wear.
- Clear topcoat and cure. A sealing topcoat goes on — UV-stable where sun reaches the floor through glass or an open garage door — and the floor is left to cure before furniture or cars come back.
Which epoxy finish for which room
| Finish | Look | Grip | Where it suits | Where not |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Metallic epoxy | Glossy, deep, three-dimensional; no two floors alike | Smooth | Living rooms, entrance halls, showrooms, studios | Full direct sun; anyone who dislikes seeing dust between cleans |
| Solid-colour poured epoxy | One clean, glossy, seamless colour | Smooth | Living spaces, galleries, home entrances, show garages | Wet floors that need grip |
| Flake epoxy | Speckled; hides the marks of daily life | Light texture | Garages, utility rooms, home gyms, playrooms | Where a calm glossy showpiece is the brief |
| Quartz broadcast epoxy | Dense salt-and-pepper texture | Real anti-slip, even wet | Commercial kitchens, washrooms, wash-down bays, back-of-house | Barefoot living rooms; floors you want to mop lightly |
| Epoxy mortar screed | Functional, trowelled, not glossy | Naturally slip-resistant | Workshops, warehouse aisles, loading bays, broken slabs | A villa garage or home gym — flake gives a better floor there |
Every one of them is an indoor floor: epoxy ambers slowly under strong direct UV, so a terrace, pool surround or driveway gets a surface built for the sun. Day-to-day care is simple — sweep, then a damp mop with a neutral cleaner — and the full routine is in our epoxy floor care guide.
Commercial and light-industrial epoxy flooring in Mussafah and Khalifa City
Abu Dhabi’s working floors are part of the service area too: showrooms, workshops, storage units, clinics and back-of-house areas in Mussafah, Khalifa City and across the capital. The system follows the use — a poured or metallic floor where it is on show, quartz broadcast where kitchens and wet areas need grip, and epoxy mortar where forklifts, trolleys and dropped loads are part of the day; our warehouse and industrial flooring guide compares the options. The honest limit: we are a decorative-surfaces company first, so for a heavy process plant we will say plainly at the site visit that a specialist industrial coater is the better fit. Commercial floors are priced per project after a site visit — send the area and how the floor is used on WhatsApp.
Why Abu Dhabi chooses RBS for epoxy floors
Decorative epoxy, done properly
We are a decorative-surfaces company, not an industrial coater. Our epoxy floors are laid for looks as much as durability — metallic depth, clean colour, considered detail — by people who finish surfaces for a living.
One company, start to finish
A resin pour is a one-shot, live process. RBS is responsible for every job across the capital, start to finish: the slab check, the preparation, the pour, the topcoat and the result.
The right finish for the room
Metallic for a statement, solid colour for a clean modern look, flake for grip and hard wear in a garage or utility room. We match the finish to how the space is actually used.
Honest about where it belongs
Epoxy is an interior floor. Where a space is open to direct sun we will say so and specify a UV-stable topcoat, or point you to a surface better suited than ours.
Your questions, answered straight
Do you actually cover Abu Dhabi?
Yes — properly. RBS is based in Dubai, but we lay epoxy floors right across the capital: Al Reem, Yas and Saadiyat islands, Khalifa City, Al Ain and beyond, with the same materials and the same way of pricing we use everywhere else. There is no Abu Dhabi surcharge for projects of a sensible size.
Which epoxy finish is right for me?
Metallic epoxy is the showpiece — glossy, reflective, three-dimensional, and no two floors alike. Solid-colour epoxy gives a clean, seamless modern floor. Flake adds texture, grip and hard wear, which is why it is our default for garages and utility rooms. We will walk you through the trade-offs for your room.
Is epoxy suitable for direct sun or outdoors?
Epoxy is an interior floor and can amber under years of strong direct sunlight. For a sun-facing glass wall or a garage door that stands open we specify a UV-stable topcoat; for a terrace, pool surround or driveway we will point you to a surface built for the sun instead.
Does epoxy scratch or wear out?
It is a hard, sealed resin floor built for daily life and it wipes clean easily. Glossy finishes show dust and footprints between cleans, and the clear topcoat can be refreshed years later to restore the look without redoing the whole floor.
Where we pour it
Seamless epoxy suits almost any interior floor that wants to lose its joints. Across the capital that means:
- Villas & apartments
- Garages & car collections
- Showrooms & retail
- Offices & studios
- Hotels & lobbies
- Workshops & back-of-house

Frequently asked
What is epoxy flooring?
Epoxy flooring is a two-part resin poured over a prepared slab that cures into one seamless, jointless, hard-wearing floor. It comes as metallic, solid colour or flake. In Abu Dhabi we use it for interior floors such as villas, garages and showrooms, and we say plainly when a space (a sunny terrace, for example) needs a different surface.
How much does epoxy flooring cost in Abu Dhabi and the UAE?
Epoxy flooring in Abu Dhabi is priced per project, supply and install, after a site visit — the same way RBS works across the UAE, so the epoxy flooring price in the UAE is set the same way wherever the floor is; we do not publish a per-m² or per-square-foot rate for it. The finish (metallic, flake or solid colour), the state of the slab and the size of the floor set the figure, and larger areas price lower per square metre. What moves the price is in our epoxy flooring cost guide.
Are you an epoxy flooring contractor in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. We are the contractor: RBS is responsible for every job, start to finish — the slab is ground, primed, poured and sealed under one company, and the company that quotes is the one that answers for the floor, in Abu Dhabi or anywhere else in the UAE. Before you commit, ask any contractor, us included, for photos of floors it has finished.
Are you an epoxy floor company near me in Abu Dhabi?
If you are anywhere in the emirate, yes. We cover the islands, the city, Khalifa City and Al Ain from a Dubai base; distance changes nothing about how the floor is built or priced. The honest way to check any epoxy company is to ask who answers for the floor if it fails and to see work that is two or more years old. Our answer to the first is simple: RBS is responsible for every job, start to finish.
Which epoxy flooring services do you offer in Abu Dhabi?
Supply and installation of the full epoxy family: metallic pours, solid-colour self-levelling floors, flake floors for garages and utility rooms, quartz broadcast for wet service areas, and epoxy mortar repairs where a slab needs rebuilding first. We also refresh tired epoxy floors with a new clear topcoat. What we do not do is sell material on its own.
Are you epoxy flooring suppliers in Abu Dhabi, or installers?
Installers who supply their own material — one job, one responsible company. We bring the full system, and we do not sell epoxy for DIY or to other contractors, because the finish depends entirely on the preparation and the pour. If you only want material, a trade supplier is the right call.
Is epoxy flooring a good choice for a villa in Abu Dhabi?
For indoor floors, usually yes: living areas, entrance halls, garages and utility rooms. It is seamless, hard and wipes clean, with no grout lines to stain. The honest limits are direct sun and open-air areas, where epoxy can amber, so terraces, pool surrounds and driveways need a different surface. We check the room on a site visit and say so if epoxy is the wrong call.
Can epoxy go over existing tiles or screed?
In most cases yes, over a sound and properly prepared substrate. The preparation is the part that makes it last, so the base is checked on a site visit before quoting. Installation typically takes several days — base preparation, the pour, then clear topcoats, each with its own cure time.
Is an epoxy floor coating the same as epoxy floor paint?
No. Epoxy floor paint is a thin single roller coat sold in a tin — fine for a car-park bay, and the reason some quotes come in far lower. An epoxy floor as we lay it in Abu Dhabi is a system: the slab is diamond-ground, primed, given a poured or flake body coat and sealed with a clear topcoat. Paint wears through and lifts under hot tyres; a properly built floor coating does not. We quote for the system.
Do you lay epoxy flooring elsewhere in the UAE, not just Abu Dhabi?
Yes. We lay epoxy flooring across the UAE from our Dubai base, with the same system, the same way of pricing — per project after a site visit — and RBS responsible for every job, start to finish. Dubai projects are covered on our epoxy flooring in Dubai page, and the price drivers for the whole UAE are in our epoxy flooring cost guide. Send a photo of the floor on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether epoxy is the right call.
Is epoxy flooring slippery when wet in Abu Dhabi?
Plain gloss epoxy can be, yes: water sits on the sealed surface, like on a wet polished tile. Dry, it grips about as well as any polished hard floor. Grip is chosen at the pour, so we build in a fine quartz texture, flake with a textured topcoat or a matte finish wherever water lands, such as a garage, a utility room or a kitchen. The full answer is in is epoxy flooring slippery.
Does epoxy flooring turn yellow in the Abu Dhabi sun?
It can amber under years of strong direct sunlight, which is why epoxy is an interior floor here. Where sun reaches the floor through glass or an open garage door we specify a UV-stable topcoat, and for a terrace, pool surround or driveway we point you to a surface built for the sun. More in does epoxy flooring yellow.
Is epoxy flooring worth it for a home in Abu Dhabi?
For an indoor floor that you want seamless and easy to wipe clean, usually yes: no grout lines, a hard sealed surface and a choice of metallic, solid colour or flake. It is worth less where the floor sits in direct sun or outdoors, where epoxy can amber and a different surface is the honest choice, and it is not the answer if you want a soft, warm underfoot feel like wood or carpet. Priced per project after a site visit, so send a photo of the floor on WhatsApp and we will say whether epoxy suits it.
