Starting prices
Real starting prices, supply and install — the same rates we run across the UAE. Aggregate, thickness and build-up move the figure; a path and a car driveway are different jobs. Every exact quote follows a site visit.
All rates are AED per square metre, supply and installation. Light-foot areas start from AED 150/m²; vehicle-rated driveways and exterior pool surrounds use a heavier build-up from AED 300/m². Larger areas price lower per square metre.
Resin bound, across the capital
Resin bound is a seamless “stone carpet”: natural aggregate mixed with clear resin and hand-trowelled to a smooth, permeable finish. Because the stone and resin are laid as one, the surface has no joints — nothing to crack, lift or weed — and rain drains straight through it rather than pooling on top.
It’s also where RBS began. The company grew out of this one craft, and we still produce our resin in-house rather than buying it ready-made. RBS is based in Dubai, but Abu Dhabi is home ground too: our crews lay resin bound across Al Reem, Yas and Saadiyat islands, Khalifa City, Al Ain and the wider capital, with the same UV-stable resin that holds its colour under the Gulf sun.
Driveways, paths and pool surrounds
The build-up follows the job. A garden path or courtyard is laid at the lighter foot-traffic rate; a car driveway is laid thicker, on a properly prepared base, to carry vehicle weight — which is the difference between the AED 150 and AED 300 starting rates. Whatever the area, the base beneath decides everything, so we assess and prepare it first. For the material and its honest limits, see how resin bound works.
Why Abu Dhabi chooses RBS for resin bound
This is where we began
Resin bound is the surface RBS was founded on — the craft the company grew out of. We still produce our resin in-house rather than buying it in a bucket, and our crews lay it right across the capital.
Built for the Gulf sun
We use a UV-stable aliphatic resin, so the finish holds its colour under the harshest sun instead of yellowing or hazing the way cheaper systems do.
Permeable — no puddles
Rain drains straight through the surface, so water doesn't pool on your driveway or path. It's SuDS-friendly by nature, not by add-on.
Seamless and comfortable
One continuous, jointless surface — smooth underfoot, with no slabs to lift, no joints to weed, and a wide palette of natural aggregate blends.
Your questions, answered straight
Do you actually cover Abu Dhabi?
Yes — properly. RBS lays resin bound across the capital: Al Reem, Yas and Saadiyat islands, Khalifa City, Al Ain and beyond, with the same in-house resin and trained crews we use everywhere. Distance changes nothing about how the surface is built.
Will it crack or come loose?
Resin bound is only as good as the base beneath it, so we assess and prepare the substrate properly before laying — a sound base is the whole job. Laid on prepared ground with our own resin, it stays put, and the seamless surface has no joints to open up.
Does water pool on it?
No — that's its signature. The surface is permeable, so rain drains straight through rather than sitting on top. No puddles on the driveway, no standing water round the pool.
Will it fade in the sun?
We use UV-stable aliphatic resin specifically so the colour holds under Gulf sunlight. Cheaper epoxy-based resins amber and haze outdoors; ours is chosen to stay true.
Where we lay it
Resin bound belongs outdoors, wherever a seamless, draining, natural-stone surface is wanted across the capital:
- Villa driveways
- Courtyards & entrances
- Pool surrounds & terraces
- Garden & landscape paths
- Community & commercial landscaping
- Rooftop & podium decks

Frequently asked
How much does resin bound cost in Abu Dhabi?
Resin bound in Abu Dhabi starts from AED 150/m² for paths, courtyards and light-foot areas, supply and install. Vehicle-rated driveways and exterior pool surrounds use a heavier build-up from AED 300/m². These are the same rates RBS runs across the UAE; larger areas price lower per square metre.
Do you cover the whole of Abu Dhabi?
Yes — the capital and beyond: Al Reem, Yas and Saadiyat islands, Khalifa City, Al Ain and the wider emirate, with the same in-house resin and crews we use everywhere.
Is resin bound permeable?
Yes — it's a permeable surface, so rain drains straight through it rather than pooling on top. That makes it naturally SuDS-friendly and a good fit for driveways, pool surrounds and paths.
What's the difference between resin bound and resin bonded?
Resin bound mixes stone and resin together and trowels them smooth into a seamless, permeable surface. Resin bonded scatters dry stone over a resin-coated base for a rougher, sealed, anti-slip texture. Bound is smooth and draining; bonded is grippy, for slopes and ramps.
Can resin bound be laid over an existing driveway?
Often yes — over sound concrete or asphalt that's properly prepared. The base has to be right, so it's checked on a site visit; where the existing surface isn't suitable we'll say so rather than lay over a problem.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — a one-year workmanship warranty on top of manufacturer material guarantees.
