RTA Slope Protection
Kilometres of highway embankment locked in golden resin-bound aggregate for Dubai's RTA — erosion control and desert beautification in one system.
For Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority, RBS surfaced kilometres of highway embankment in golden resin-bound aggregate — completed in 2024. An anchored geotextile dresses each compacted slope, and the bound aggregate course is laid flush with the face: every stone locked to its neighbours, following the engineered profile from crest to toe, with drainage chutes integrated into the surface itself.
The system does two jobs at once. It is erosion control — storm water passes through the permeable surface instead of carving gullies down it, and nothing migrates onto the carriageway. And it is beautification at infrastructure scale: a finished, uniform desert-gold landscape that asks for no irrigation, no mowing, and no maintenance seasons — holding its line and its colour under full UAE sun.
