Flake Epoxy

What it is

Flake epoxy is a resin floor with character scattered right through it. Fine flecks of colour are broadcast across the wet coating and locked in beneath a clear seal, leaving a speckled, seamless surface that feels calm and considered rather than plain.

It is, above all, a generous floor. The flecks catch the light and gently disguise the scuffs and crumbs of a busy household, so it always looks composed. Smooth to wipe clean yet softly textured underfoot, it brings a little quiet colour to the hardest-working corners of a home.

Where it comes from

Flake floors began life in workshops and studios, where a tough, wipeable surface mattered more than anything else. Over time the palette softened and the flecks grew more refined, and the finish found its way indoors — into boot rooms, gyms and playrooms, where good looks and real resilience are asked to live side by side.
