How Much Does Epoxy Flooring Cost in the UAE?
Designer epoxy starts from AED 160/m²
Supply and installation. Exact quotes follow a site visit; bespoke work is priced on consultation.
Designer metallic epoxy flooring in the UAE starts from AED 160 per square metre, supply and install. That figure buys a multi-layer artistic pour — swirled, marbled, sealed under a high-gloss topcoat — not the thin grey garage coating advertised for a fraction of the price. RBS Group, the UAE’s No.1 decorative surfaces company, pours designer epoxy floors across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
How much does epoxy flooring cost in the UAE?
Designer and metallic epoxy flooring costs from AED 160 per square metre in the UAE, supplied and installed. That rate covers the full system: diamond grinding of the slab, multiple pigmented resin layers worked into swirls or marble effects, and a premium protective topcoat.
Why do epoxy quotes in the UAE vary so wildly?
Epoxy quotes vary because two very different products share one name: a thin industrial roller coat and a multi-layer designer system. Basic garage epoxy — a single coat applied by roller — is advertised in the UAE from AED 40 per square metre, and for a car park bay it may be perfectly adequate. Designer epoxy is a different craft altogether: a poured, multi-layer system with metallic pigment artistry, which is why it starts from AED 160 per square metre and why comparing the two quotes is comparing two different floors.
What does a typical designer epoxy floor cost in total?
A typical 60 m² showroom, boutique or luxury garage starts from around AED 10,000 in total, supply and install. Smaller spaces — a villa study, a walk-in wardrobe — cost proportionally less, though every floor passes through the same preparation and curing stages regardless of size.
What moves the price
The starting rate moves with the specification:
- Pigment layers — how many, and the complexity of the swirl or marble artistry within them.
- Topcoat — PU or polyaspartic high-gloss systems sit at the upper end.
- Custom colour matching — to a brand, a stone or an interior scheme.
- Surface preparation — grinding depends on the condition of the existing slab.
- Area size — setup and curing time are similar whether the floor is 30 m² or 300 m².
All prices are supply and install, per square metre. Bespoke commissions — unusual colourways, large artistic floors — are priced on consultation, and every exact quote follows a site visit, because the slab’s condition, its moisture level and the artistry you choose all shape the final figure.
Is metallic epoxy cheaper than porcelain tiles?
Designer epoxy is usually comparable to, and often cheaper than, good porcelain tile once tiling labour, adhesive and grouting are counted — and it arrives without a single grout line to clean or discolour. Tiles keep one clear advantage: the outdoors. Under direct UAE sun and 45°C summers, epoxy will amber and lose its gloss over time, so for open terraces and pool surrounds porcelain remains the better choice. Designer epoxy belongs inside.
How durable is metallic epoxy in the UAE climate?
Designer epoxy is very hard-wearing indoors: chemical-resistant, stain-resistant and completely seamless, with no grout lines for coastal humidity to attack. One honest caveat — like any high-gloss floor it can scratch under grit, and mirror finishes show it. In a country where sand travels indoors on every sole, a good mat at the entrance earns its keep.
