How Much Does Resin-Bound Stone Carpet Cost in the UAE?

Resin-bound stone carpet starts from AED 150/m²

Resin-bound stone carpet starts from AED 150 per square metre in the UAE, supplied and installed. That figure covers the interior stone carpet system at a 6–10mm build; exterior driveways and pool surrounds use a thicker UV-stable system and start from around AED 300 per square metre. RBS Group — the UAE’s No.1 decorative surfaces company — made this surface in-house before anyone else in the country, and remains the only UAE company to publish a per-square-metre rate for it.

How much does resin-bound stone carpet cost in the UAE?

Interior resin-bound stone carpet costs from AED 150 per square metre in the UAE, supply and installation included, laid at a 6–10mm build. The surface is natural aggregate bound in clear resin, hand-trowelled into a single seamless, permeable plane — the finish RBS began with. Bespoke aggregate blends are priced on consultation.

How much does a resin driveway cost in Dubai?

A resin-bound driveway in Dubai starts from around AED 300 per square metre, supplied and installed, and the same starting rate applies to Abu Dhabi projects. Driveways carry vehicles and sit in direct sun, so they are laid at 15–18mm with a UV-stable binder rather than the 6–10mm interior build — which is why the exterior rate starts higher. Groundwork and base preparation are priced separately after inspection.

How much does a resin-bound pool surround cost?

A resin-bound pool surround starts from around AED 300 per square metre — the same 15–18mm UV-stable exterior system as a driveway — so a typical 50 m² surround starts from around AED 15,000 in total. Because the surface is permeable, splash and rinse water drain straight through it: no puddles at the pool edge, no standing water in coastal humidity.

What moves the price

The starting rates above shift with a handful of honest variables:

  • Build thickness — 6–10mm indoors; 15–18mm for UV-stable exterior systems. This is the largest single factor.
  • Aggregate choice — natural marble and granite sit at the starting rate; imported quartz blends cost more.
  • Area size — a villa driveway and a single balcony are priced differently per square metre.
  • The binder — exterior work requires a UV-stable polyurethane binder for the UAE climate.
  • Groundwork — base condition is assessed on site and preparation is priced separately.

All published figures are supply and installation, per square metre. Bespoke work is priced on consultation, and every exact quote follows a site visit.

Is resin-bound cheaper than pavers or stamped concrete?

No — pavers and stamped concrete are usually cheaper upfront, and if day-one cost is the deciding factor they are the sensible choice. Resin-bound earns its price differently: it is seamless, so there are no joints to collect sand; it is permeable, so water drains through rather than pooling; and it does not shift or settle the way individual pavers can. If you want a traditional jointed look, or simply the lowest possible initial spend, resin-bound is not the right surface.

How does resin-bound handle UAE heat, and why does permeability matter?

Exterior resin-bound systems hold their colour and bond in direct sun because they are laid with a UV-stable binder specified for the UAE’s 45°C summers, and permeability matters because water passes through the surface instead of sitting on it. A washed driveway is puddle-free within minutes, and a pool surround sheds splash as it lands. For villa exteriors in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, it is one of the few decorative surfaces that treats drainage as part of the finish rather than a problem to slope away.
